Buying Process

Let's have a quick phone call or email exchange so we can learn more about your needs. If we don't have your desired vehicles available, we can leverage the thousands of contacts we make each week to find the units you need.

We will email you packages that are available so you can review the options and invoices. We are also upfront with the cost of each vehicle and any dealership-installed accessories that are not listed on the factory invoice.

As we finalize your package, we need a signed buyer's agreement to complete the transaction. Review the VINs, amount due to the seller, and the amount due to Dealer Trades LLC. After both parties have completed their respective agreements, we will provide a detailed recap of the sale, amounts due, and other pertinent information.

Please send payment for the vehicles to the selling dealer and send payment for the locator fees to Dealer Trades LLC. In most cases, the selling dealer will require an overnighted check, although floorplan transfers may be used when practical. Once the units are paid in full, the selling dealer will overnight MSOs to the buyer.

The locator fees are to be overnighted to Dealer Trades LLC. Unlike other locator services, we charge a flat fee per vehicle -- no surprises or mysteries!

As Dealer Trades LLC charges a flat per vehicle fee, we let you shop for the shipping that fits your timeframe and budget so you can get your inventory quickly. In our system, the shipping charges are the responsibility of the buying dealer.

We do have relationships with transportation companies, and we happy to help with quotes or to point you in their direction if needed.

Inspect the vehicles for damage when they arrive. Please contact us immediately if there are any concerns with vehicle condition, missing equipment, missing keys, etc.

A few days after you receive your new inventory, make sure that it is reflected in your inventory with the manufacturer. We know that some OEMs pull your online inventory from their records, so we want to make sure every vehicle possible is listed on your website.
